Alternate Reality Television Shows (#1)
October 22, 2006
First in a series (I hope).
Twisting popular television shows into something completely unwatchable!
Tonight’s episode: House, M.D.
“Murder, He Diagnosed.” - Hugh Laurie as a gruff but loveable chief medical examiner. Each week he’s presented with a dead body and must determine cause and method of death. His perky intern, Allison Cameron, is his love interest and helps showcase the softer side of this tough old doctor.
Police commissioner Cuddy dislikes House’s methods and constantly tries to have him barred from the crime scenes because she feels his meddling will corrupt evidence and cause the case to be thrown out of court. Lt. Wilson of the Princeton-Plainsboro police force (an affable, yet bumbling cop), routinely breaks the rules and lets House have otherwise confidential information that a real ME wouldn’t need to know.
Comic relief is provided by morgue attendants Chase and Foreman, whose Rosencrantz-and-Guildenstern-esque conversations explain the science in terms the viewers at home can understand.
