The CD Writer on my computer was dead. I bought a CD/DVD drive today. It doesn’t burn either format, but it plays back both and that’s all I care about. I don’t need a DVD burner (and should I ever, my roommate has one) and I can burn CDs on the notebook.
I didn’t really need a DVD player on this computer. We have one. My roommate has one. The notebook plays them. But it was the only thing they had. There wasn’t a single “Just a CD-ROM” or “Just a CD/Read-Write” to be found.
Kitti and I got this one installed, which was kind of a surprise. Normally hardware and I don’t get along. But it went right in and started right up and it works.
We also ate at the tapas restaurant again. This time asparagus, vegetable paella, spinach, garlic bread, and I had chicken sauteed in white wine and garlic. We also got a pitcher of Sangria.
Kitti bought a book about the band Suede and I bought the current Vanity Fair. I only buy it for the pictures.
It might be one of the best days ever. The fact that tomorrow’s also a day off really helps.

Oh my god! Snay’s turned into Spam! “Click here! Buy a plasma tv for only three dollars”!
I don’t even know what a plasma tv IS.

You are the anti-geek.

I am SO not the anti-geek! I just don’t have much interest in television! We have a little TV in the bedroom for watching movies, and that’s it. No TV downstairs.
Right now there’s only two shows I “have” to watch, and three I like to watch, but I don’t lose sleep if I miss an episode.
