The Ninth Strange Day

I came home from work intending to write an update about how pathetically uninteresting our mail’s been lately. Most of it has only been junk mail or things for Steeb-The-Roommate. Yesterday the only thing we got was a sales flier.

I picked up the mail and there was a white priority mail box, address-side down. “Probably something Steeb bought on eBay,” I said to myself and sorted through the envelopes first (two ads from Comcast (we already have Comcast), a “THE END IS NEAR” thing from some local church (actually, that might be worth a laugh. I should get that out of the recycling bag), and a bill for Steeb). The box was for me. That’s right! ME!

And what was in it? Well let me just show you.

My friend Lore made meeeee socks! And you can’t haaaave them! Read that in that “nah-nah” teasing singsong thing.

THANK YOU, LORI! They are lovely and soft and stripey! I’m gonna go try them on.

And yes, I took the picture with them on my keyboard. The best lighting is at the computer, and I am a nerd.
