A month ago I posted about a fire in my neighbourhood. The woman who lived in the house had a lot of pets and most of them found homes.
There’s one who hasn’t, and he really needs someone to take him in.
He’s “elderly” — about ten years old — but in good health (he’s lost a tooth, probably as a result of living outside most of the time), he needs his ears checked (it looks like he has a treatable ear infection), and he probably needs his shots updated, since we have no way of finding out his shot record (I’m assuming he had some at one point because he’s neutered). He’s clean, flea-free (I put Advantage on him), and very well-behaved. He’s quiet and affectionate.
We know he’s been in a multi-cat home, but he’d probably do best in a home with no other animals. After the fire he was pretty shell-shocked and now he’s become very needy. He loves a lot of attention and petting. He’s also very good about not using his claws. He’s been climbing around on my lap and up to my shoulder and patting me to get my attention and he’s only “clawed” me when he was kneading. He’s a very gentle guy.
Here’s a picture. And another.
Please, if you’re in Maryland and you’re interested in rescuing a really sweet cat, email me. We’re even willing to get him to the vet for his shots and checkup before you take him home.

“Grey” is a really sweet cat and an adorable compact size. He really does want some love and attention. I’d take him in an instant but my two “mature” cats would resent him.

Oh, he has such a sweet little face. Dang, I wish I didn’t already have five (and lived so far away).

He’s got a sweet little everything. He meows without making a sound. You see his mouth open and his tongue move, but there’s no noise! He’s not mute. He DOES make noise (especially when he’s hungry and lonely) but when he’s happy, he just does this silent mew thing.
I’d really love to keep him, but there’s a limit on how many pets you can have per household, and we’re at it.
