Final Update of the Day

Sparky asked if I had any idea how long it takes to starve to death. All the information I have presents a pretty bleak view.

I think it takes several days to starve to death, depending on what sort of zombie it is. Like a Virus-zombie isn’t really dead, so it’d take however long it’d take a person. Reanimated corpses generally don’t ever starve to death, since they don’t really need to eat. You just have to wait for them to decompose.

I can’t really express how much fun I had with this. Over on LiveJournal, in Matociquala’s journal, everyone was taking it Very Seriously. People were commenting with the state of the zombie situation from wherever they were, offering support, trying to find friends… I love when everyone plays along like that.

Some people did get snippy (elsewhere) and said it wasn’t funny and they were ZOMG SCARED something was really going on and “zombie” was code or something.

Someone pointed out that the people complaining were probably jealous they were surrounded by good, convincing writers and were embarrassed to admit they fell for it — even if they only fell for a minute.

Ha! Knowing somebody who got her nose out of joint with the whole “that’s banal and not at all funny, must be nice to have so much time on one’s hands”… I can say that you hit the nail on the head with that one. Jealous, indeed.
