(You know that was just toooooo tempting.) The table is in a tiny room under the stairs in an old house just bought by....? The table won't move, even though it doesn't seem to be nailed or glued down. And every time they go in the room, there's something different on the table. Something that they somehow need yet don't know they need, or something that they wind up needing within a few days. And if they put something on the table and leave, when they come back the object is gone. Something with a table in it! (You know that was just toooooo tempting.)
