The Ninth Strange Day

Got the liftback in black.

There ARE no Priuses to be had! It’d be at least 8 weeks before any are available in Maryland (we called several dealers), and possibly as long as 12 weeks for the colour/package combination that we really want.

So rather than take the mass transit for the summer (which would seriously cut into the amount of time available for dog walking/training and sleeping), a Yaris is something we can pay off fairly quickly and then use as a trade-in on a Prius next year. Or, possibly become a dreaded “two-car family”.

I’ll be picking it up from the dealership tonight. It’s being scotchguarded and undercoated and dipped-in-honey or whatever it is they do. They’re also LoJacking it with something like LoJack, but isn’t.

Now comes the careful consideration of a navigation system for the car.
