Cu(t)eCat

Ken will be happy to know that I’ve received my CueCat and I’ve started using it.

Why a new profile? Why not just combine these books with AgentNine? Because I’m going to give away a lot of these books I’m currently cataloging. Either to people who want them, or donated to the library. They’re things I read ages ago and just don’t have the room for.

Books that I’m keeping in my permanent collection are still going to go under my regular profile (which I really started to keep track of what/how much I was reading, starting in 2007, which is why the second profile).

Got mine Saturday afternoon, haven’t even unwrapped it yet. =( Poor CueCat.

So what do you think of yours?

I like it! It’s very handy. It seems to have some trouble with glossy book covers, though. If a book has a second barcode inside the front cover that one usually works better. Scanning right-to-left seems to be better, too.
