I don’t like to talk about this often, but I have a doll.
It’s a generally creepy, kind of alien-looking, ball-jointed doll.
I don’t like dolls. I think they’re creepy. But I like knitting little things and doll-sized stuff seemed interesting. I haven’t yet completed anything because the needles are really damn small and I’ve only been practicing with them. I have clumsy panda paws and I was worried about bending the needles. Then I realized I kind of hated the size 000 (1.5 mm) double-pointed needles. They were longer than I was comfortable with. I’m not good with double-pointed needles to begin with (I tend to like stubby little 4 inch needles for socks if I’m using DPNs).
Then I found out you can actually get circular needles in size 000, so I did. I just got them today. I also have two 000000 (that’s six!) needles. They look no bigger than cat whiskers. I’m terrified of them. Not really, but you probably know what I mean.
So we’ll see how it goes.
But keep the doll thing just between us, OK?
